    VinSanto di Montepulciano D.O.C. Riserva

Vineyard: well exposed, located around the town of Montepulciano at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level for the vineyard at "Valardegna." The soils are medium-textured slightly tending to be sandy and with skeleton presence.
Phases: the thick must obtained from white Malvasia, Trebbiano and Grechetto grapes is left to dry for a period of four months on reeds in the historical company cellars, then sealed in small oak barrels along with the mother and left there brewing, and then aged for 8 years. These barrels also contained a small amount of 1962's VinSanto of exceptional quality, the son of that mother, which gave me the permission to reproduce the same results after so many years.
Pouring and bottling phases: once finished the eighth year of aging, the sweet must now became vin santo, is removed from the casks and decanted in a traditional manner. After reaching a good clarity and after obtaining eligibility for DOC Vin Santo di Montepulciano, it is bottled and immediately ready to be enjoyed.
